Come along and get involved in our day for the Bush
Bushcare’s MajorDayOut is an opportunity to showcase the work ofBushcare volunteers.
A day where people can come along and see whatBushcare is all about and see what volunteers
have achieved by tacklingBitouBush and other weeds on this reserve.
· You can take a tour of the great work already done by volunteers and contractors.
· Help by planting a tree or two.
· Learn about the cultural heritage of PuckeysEstate and the Puckey family that once lived there.
· Explore this important remnant of rainforest, wetlands and dunes, located so close to the city centre.
· Afterwards, join us for lunch in celebration of our achievements.
When: 11 Sept 2011 – 10am for a short guided walk through the reserve, followed
by tree planting. Lunch at 12.30pm
Where: Meet beside playground FairyMeadow Beach /Thomas Dalton Oval – Walk 10.15am
What to bring: Covered shoes and a hat.
