Landcare Illawarra is seeking an experienced bush regeneration contractor to provide technical support over a six-month period for two new Landcare groups.
Objectives
Two new local Landcare groups will:
- have agreed and documented annual and monthly work plans;
- have members who can identify the key 3-6 weeds on site and remove them in accordance with best practice weed control techniques; and
- be working cohesively as groups.
Scope of Work
- Visit sites and produce a simple annual work plan with maps, native vegetation and weed lists, weed identification tips and weed control techniques for 3-6 key weeds, and monthly working bee tasks for the year ahead (see attached work plan template).
- Liaise with the Landcare Illawarra Committee representative (TBC) on plans for each working bee.
- Attend monthly working bees and lead group activities per annual work plan and monthly task lists.
- Liaise with the Landcare Illawarra Coordinator regarding resources required for each group.
- Provide a brief progress report after three months to the Landcare Illawarra Committee representative.
- Provide a final project report after six months to the Landcare Illawarra Committee representative.
