Illawarra Intrepid Landcare was started by Landcare Illawarra coordinator Megan Lee in 2009 to provide a pathway for young people to get involved in Landcare. Since then it has expanded to around Australia with a vision to  connect young people with their communities while for the environment.

The Illawarra group reformed in 2024 with a grant from Landcare Australia to plant feed trees for the endangered Glossy Black Cockatoo. Welcome back!

The group do not meet regularly or have a single location, but visit other groups and sites around the Illawarra.
