Join us for a series of evening workshops through March and April 2018 aimed at building skills and knowledge in community engagement for the environment.
These workshops are aimed at volunteers running on-ground community environment initiatives who would like to enhance their skills in engaging others in volunteer work through a range of communications techniques, programs and tools.
These workshops will cover the following:

Your facilitators
Ann Burbrook
For the past twenty-five years Ann has worked in the performance, media and communications industries. She is a graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) and has worked extensively in Television, Theatre and Film. She has also worked as a teacher, trainer, writer, director, counsellor, youth worker and community services manager. Her passion is helping people to become the best possible version of themselves they can be so they can tell their stories, share their passions and be heard.
Megan Rowlatt
For the past ten years Megan has been driving change through the Landcare movement and is a national ambassador for Landcare. She has been supporting Landcare in the Illawarra since 2008, and has been instrumental in designing and facilitating a diversity of community engagement programs. Megan has been designing and delivering leadership programs for youth in Landcare, and has been mentoring and supporting young people around Australia to realise their potential to create the change that they want to see for themselves, the environment and their community.
Cost
This workshop series is free and open to industry staff, volunteers and any other members of the community interested in supporting environmental volunteerism.
This event is being funded by the Australian Government National Landcare Programme through Local Land Services and Landcare Illawarra.
